Background
The opportunity wasn't initially defined as a product. EagleView had extremely rich property and roof data, while solar companies were still spending significant time turning property information into designs that could actually be sold and installed.
The question was: how could we use that data to remove friction from the solar journey and create a new source of value?
My Role
I helped shape EagleView’s complex property and solar workflows into scalable products, combining AI-driven automation with expert verification. The work connected product experience, platform thinking and design system governance with measurable customer and commercial outcomes.

The scale was unusual: 60+ PB of proprietary data, 3B+ images, 94%+ U.S. population coverage and independently benchmarked roof measurements at 98.77% accuracy.
But users didn't experience that capability as one coherent platform.
The products were different. The underlying intelligence wasn't.
Years of product growth had created applications serving very different workflows—from viewing imagery and measuring roofs to property assessment, analytics and solar design.

I helped shape the experience from property selection and automated 3D modelling through solar layout, human refinement and downstream design outputs, turning complex geospatial data into something solar teams could act on.

A solar design had to survive beyond TrueDesign.
The resulting information needed to move into planning, permitting and engineering workflows.
EagleView supports TrueDesign outputs including DWG, DXF, JSON, XML and PDF, with datasets accessible through TrueDesign, EagleView services and APIs.
That meant thinking about data binding and product architecture.A design wasn't finished when it looked right in the interface. It had to remain useful as it moved through the system.
